Electronic price computing scales are mainly used for trade settlement and are one of the important measuring instruments.
It include electronic price computing scales, barcode printing price scales, electronic platform scales, cash register scales, Bluetooth electronic scales, and so on.
The most often encountered is the use of electronic scales to cheat and entrap the occurrence of consumer behavior. In fact, the measurement security check of the electronic price computing scale is an anti-fraud check to see if the electronic price computing scale has a cheating function, and whether there is a small amount of short-scale behavior?
At present, some weighing instrument verifiers do not pay attention to the 6th “General Technical Requirements” of “JJG539-2016 Verification Regulations for Digital Indicating Scales”, and have not carried out measurement safety inspections. They directly put weights on the platform plate for testing when they get the electronic price computing scale. In fact, this is incorrect.
According to paragraph 7.4 of “JJG539-2016 Verification Regulations for Digital Indicating Scales”: “Inspection of general technical requirements, the scale shall be inspected according to the requirements of 6.1 to 6.4 by visual inspection, and verification of other items shall be carried out after the inspection meets the requirements.”
So how to eliminate unqualified electronic scales through measurement safety inspection?
According to my work experience, summarize the following points:
First check whether the nameplate on the electronic price calculation scale meets the requirements of 6.4.2 of the verification regulations, the name of the measuring instrument, the accuracy level, the specification model, the factory number, the maximum scale, the small scale, the verification division value, the actual division value, Check whether the information such as the number of graduations meets the requirements, especially to check whether there is a type approval mark and number for measuring instruments or not? The 2020 version of the “Measurement Law” has cancelled the license for manufacturing measuring instruments and only implements the type approval of measuring instruments. The type approval mark and serial number of measuring instruments must be marked on the nameplate of measuring instruments starting from November 1, 2020.
Second, check whether there is a manufacturing statement: “This scale does not have the characteristics of deceptive use”.
Third, check whether there is a valid lead seal or whether the lead seal is intact. Note: It must be a lead seal, not a paper seal or other seal.
Fourth, turn on the power, and lightly touch the load-bearing plate with your hand to check whether the displayed index value is consistent with the information on the nameplate. In particular, the verification division value e and the actual division value d must be equal, that is: e=d, otherwise the “JJG539-2016 Verification Regulations for Digital Indicating Scales” is not applicable. In addition, if e=d is inconsistent, it also means that the electronic scale has been re-debugged or replaced the metering chip after leaving the factory.
Fifth, without damaging the lead seal, the operation of “kg” to “City” can be performed by pressing the panel buttons. This type of scale may be suspected of being a “cryptographic scale”. If the metering software program is modified or the metering core is replaced, it can be judged as not Qualified because the unit of measurement in the weight display window of the scale is “kg” or “kg”. The “Measurement Law” expressly prohibits the use of non-statutory measurement units.
Sixth, without breaking the lead seal, the parameters of the scale can be adjusted through the calibration switch, but directly through the buttons on the panel. This is what we often call the “Password scale”. “Password scale” is the most difficult to find. It uses software to cheat, while remote control scales are hardware cheats. It is easy to find as long as you open the outer shell of the scale.
Seventh, if the first five points are still uncertain, open the scale body and check whether the electronic scale has a calibration switch or a calibration button. If there is no calibration switch or a calibration button, check whether there is a calibration short connector on the metering chip. If there is no needle or calibration switch, it belongs to a password scale. The metering parameters of the scale are directly adjusted through the panel buttons. The lead seal of this kind of scale does not work and cannot be effectively managed, or if there is a lead seal, it is also a false lead seal.
